A local tradition since 1902, Independence Days is the ultimate hometown Fourth of July celebration and an unforgettable experience!
Join us July 3–4, 2026, at Riverview Park in Independence for two action-packed days of fun. From live entertainment and unique vendors to family-friendly activities, there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss the fireworks, the Duck Derby on the Willamette River, the carnival, the Talent Show and plenty more!
If you purchase your ticket online, you'll receive a confirmation email with a link to your ticket. Please exchange your ticket(s) for your wristband(s) either upon arrival at the event, or in advance by stopping by one of our wristband exchange booths between June 22 - July 4 (this option is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED).
*** KIDS UNDER 6 YEARS OF AGE ARE FREE *** Tickets for kids under 6 years of age are not required. Please request your kid wristbands when you pick-up your wristbands. We recommend getting your wristbands before you arrive for the event on July 3rd or 4th.
Reserve your duck NOW for the annual Duck Derby! Cheer on your duck as it’s launched from the River Road Bridge and races through the rapids with hundreds of giant rubber ducks —it’s a one-of-a-kind Independence tradition. Click here for more information.
Winners will share a total cash prize of $1,000 -- To celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, we will award $250 to each of the top 4 finishers!!
The top winners are determined as they pass the finish line.
You are not required to be present to win, but we encourage you to watch from the riverfront as the ducks cross the finish line!
The ducks will be dropped from the Independence Bridge just after 4:00pm on July 3rd and all are expected to cross the finish line and be retrieved before 4:30pm. They fastest ducks will likely cross in under 10 minutes!
Each duck registration is $15 - the top four finishers will each receive $250.
The total number of ducks in this years race will be 250!
Sign-ups for the Talent Show are now being accepted. Sign-up no later than Saturday, June 20th to show off your talent and compete for prizes!

We are excited to welcome the 234th Army Band in the Oregon National Guard to perform on the Indy Days stage on July 4th! Learn more about the Mission of "Oregon's Own" on their website. You can also follow them on Facebook.
